Mary Lou Bailey

Mary Lou is originally from Minnesota, attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, then moved to Chicago where she began to raise a family in suburban Winnetka. Even then, she was extremely active in community service organizations. In 1973, the lure of the Islands first attracted Mary Lou and her family. By 1978, Sanibel was home! Within a year, she received her real estate license and applied her energy and enthusiasm to helping Buyers and Sellers meet their objectives. Upon receiving her Broker’s license in 1983, Mary Lou joined Priscilla Murphy Realty as a full-time Broker Associate. For 22 years at PMR she was successful in providing her clients with the most reliable, attentive and professional service possible.

From 2005 until mid 2009 Mary Lou worked at other Island real estate offices. In 2009 an opportunity to join VIP Realty Group was presented and Mary Lou determined that VIP’s reputation for excellence and its’ powerful marketing position was an upward career opportunity. Her successes there have resulted in her being honored with the 2010, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2016 & 2018 VIP All Company Number One Agent out of all offices in Lee and Collier Counties.

Mary Lou is a member of the Sanibel Captiva Association of Realtors, the Florida Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.  She has served in leadership positions at the local level as a Director and member of many committees throughout the years.  When she’s not busy in the real estate business, Mary Lou Bailey describes her life on Sanibel as the fulfillment of a dream…to live and raise her family (dogs included) on these enchanted Islands. As a full-time Island resident, she feels privileged to be able to enthusiastically participate on every level in the life the Island community offers!

Patrick Bailey

Patrick Bailey was fortunate to have grown up on Sanibel, having lived on the Island since 1978. He attended Sanibel elementary and played little league on the Island in the 1980’s. After finishing his primary and secondary school here he went to the University of Miami to earn his BBA and MBA. He then completed his Juris Doctor at the Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. During Law School he was appointed an Articles Editor for the Nova Law Review and his law review article was chosen to be published in the 2001 Law Review publication.

During summer and winter breaks he worked on the Island, even obtaining a Summer Internship at the Sanibel Planning Department in the 1990’s. After Law School he practiced law in Fort Myers and the surrounding Counties for 13 years handling various types of cases.

When Patrick started a family he decided that he wanted his children to grow up on the Island and enjoy the same great experiences he had. He recently joined his mother, Mary Lou Bailey, in the Real Estate Business intending to continue almost four decades of family tradition in helping buyers and sellers meet their Real Estate needs.
